About the Founder
Jessie King | Founder, The Cogburn & Call Co. Mobile Bar
After more than a decade in law enforcement and a lifetime of serving other’s, Cogburn and Call Co. was born.
These two worlds have so much in common. Special events require organization, quick problem-solving, adaptability, and someone who can keep everything running smoothly no matter what comes their way.
That’s exactly what I bring to every event I serve.
The Cogburn & Call Co. Mobile Bar was created with intention—as a woman-owned business built on professionalism, reliability, and elevated hospitality. I wanted to create more than just a mobile bar service. I wanted clients to feel confident knowing every detail would be handled with care, communication, and precision from start to finish.
Because when your big day arrives, the last thing you should worry about is the bar.
Every cocktail is thoughtfully crafted.
Every setup is purposeful.
Every timeline matters.
Whether it’s an intimate backyard celebration or a luxury wedding reception, my goal is always the same: to create a seamless, elevated experience where guests feel welcomed, celebrations feel effortless, and every moment is enjoyed to the fullest.
At The Cogburn & Call Co., service isn’t just what we do—it’s the standard we’re proud to bring to every pour.

How We Got Our Name…
Growing up, some of my favorite memories were simple ones—watching classic Westerns with my dad. John Wayne was a staple in our house, and there was always a VHS tape ready to go. One of his favorites was Rooster Cogburn. Another was the legendary mini-series Lonesome Dove, which we’d revisit time and time again.
There was one character in particular who always stuck with me—Captain Woodrow F. Call. Steady, principled, and quietly strong, he was the kind of presence you don’t forget. His name also sparked a playful connection to a phrase I’ve always loved in hospitality: “last call.”
Over time, those memories and influences started to weave themselves into something more meaningful. With my own background in law enforcement and a lifelong appreciation for Western grit, loyalty, and camaraderie, the name became more than just a reference—it became a tribute. Not only to those stories I grew up with, but especially to the man who first shared them with me.
Our tagline, “Gathered in Good Company,” carries that same spirit forward. It reflects a belief I’ve always held close: that we’re shaped by the people around us. It echoes the idea that iron sharpens iron, as well as the Latin phrase from Lonesome Dove, Uva uvam vivendo varia fit (“A grape ripens in the company of others”). To me, they all point to the same truth—life is richer, stronger, and more meaningful when shared with good company.
After I lost my dad in 2012, I began noticing eagles appearing in quiet, unexpected moments. Over time, they became something I couldn’t ignore—a presence that always felt like him. Today, the eagle is part of our brand as a symbol of guidance, strength, and something that never really leaves you, even when someone is gone.
